Robbinsville Players First To Play for prestigious Olympic Development Program team

Bridget Lang (one of two goal keepers chosen) and Kimberly Sandoval (one of sixteen field players chosen) set a new standard of excellence for Robbinsville Travel Soccer by earning a place on the 1991 NJ-North ODP State team and 1992 NJ-North ODP State team respectively. Both girls are members of the Robbinsville Rockets U13 girls travel team.

In a letter to the girls, Rick Meana, New Jersey Youth Soccer’s Director of Coaching had this to say about ODP, “ We (NJYSA Administrators and State Coaching Staff) believe that being selected to represent the State of New Jersey at the regional level is an honor. Obviously, the fact that you made it this far is an indication of your ability and dedication. Professionalism, commitment, positive attitude and versatility are all part of the evaluation process from this point forward, as the competition gets harder with each higher level attained.”

Bridget has played recreationally in Robbinsville beginning at U4, and competitively in Robbinsville at U8. Bridget currently attends The Peddie School in Hightstown, NJ as a member of the class of 2009.

Kim has played competitively in Robbinsville since U9. Kim attends the Krepps Middle School in East Windsor, NJ and is currently in 7th grade.
